Psychiatric Services
Our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) delivers all psychiatric services directly at CRC, making these essential services more accessible to our clients. The PMHNP works closely with our therapists and counselors to ensure personalized treatment plans are implemented to address emotional and psychological needs of youth.
Psychiatric Assessment
A thorough assessment aimed at evaluating a person's mental health condition and deciding whether a diagnosis or treatment is needed. This process involves identifying mental health disorders, evaluating the severity and effects of symptoms, and creating a treatment plan.
Medication Management
Prescribing, monitoring, and adjusting medications to ensure effective and safe treatment. Consistent monitoring is essential, as it confirms that the treatment is achieving its intended results and facilitates prompt adjustments to accommodate any changes in the individual's condition.
ADHD Testing
Uses various assessment tools to test youth for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. Includes an initial consultation to understand symptoms and observe behavior followed by the administration of tests to assess attention, impulsivity, and working memory.
Please note, while we don’t accept direct referrals from parents/guardians for specific programs, every child will receive a comprehensive mental health assessment prior to receiving services. This process is designed to develop a diagnostic forumulation and identify the child’s relevant needs. The mental health assessment forms the basis for all subsequent treatment planning.
Payment and Coverage
All services provided by CRC (excluding Prevention Services) are billed through the client’s insurance. CRC accepts Medicaid and most health insurance plans. No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay. For remaining portions of the client’s bill, funding through the Wood County Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board Levy allows us to offer services to Wood County residents under a generous sliding fee scale based on income and household size. Proof of income documentation must be provided to qualify.
