School Based Therapist

Job Type: Full-time

Work Location: In-person

Essential Duties & Responsibilites:

Provide individual and family counseling services:

  • These services will be provided at the school the client attends

  • Assess child and family functioning, environmental risk factors, and client, family and environmental strengths as exhibited by appropriate goals delineated in the treatment plan

  • Possess specialized knowledge and skills of growth and development of children/adolescents

  • Apply appropriate range of needed interventions

  • Understand and apply principles of psychotherapy, behavior, and change to assist client in problem solving and alleviating concerns

  • Provide counseling services consistent with best professional practices

  • Engage clients in treatment through exhibiting empathy, sensitivity, cultural competence, and respect

  • Coordinate referrals as needed

  • Apply skills of crisis intervention services as needed

  • Coordinating inter-agency and intra-agency activities with treatment team/providers (this includes participating in staff meetings and team meetings)

Case Management:

  • Provide outreach, assessment, and coordinated service planning

  • Identify resources within the agency and surrounding communities

  • Implement and coordinate service linkages

Qualifications:

  • Ohio State Licensed LPC or LSW

  • Maintain current licensure with identified state boards for the state of Ohio

  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families (caregivers)


Part-Time Behavioral Health Specialist

Job Type: Part-time, 2nd shift

Schedule: Week 1 - Sunday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday | Week 2 - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Saturday

Work Location: In-person

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct supervision, support, and therapeutic interventions to youth in a residential setting

  • Implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions using trauma-informed principles

  • Support a safe, structured, and supportive environment

  • Accurately document services and incidents as required

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and supervisorsCase Management:

  • Provide outreach, assessment, and coordinated service planning

  • Identify resources within the agency and surrounding communities

  • Implement and coordinate service linkages

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, education, or a related field or appropriate relevant experience

  • Strong experience working with youth (required)

  • Knowledge of trauma theory and trauma-informed interventions (preferred)

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Ability to pass required background checks, including BCI and FBI

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Stand, walk, run, and sit

  • Talk and hear

  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms

  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, and physically restrain children

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Expectations:

  • Regularly work early morning, late evening, weekend, and holiday shifts

  • Be flexible with scheduled hours to cover unfilled shifts

  • Occasionally work mandated overtime and/or two shifts less than eight hours apart

Case Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Work Location: In-person

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive case management services to children, adolescents, and families. This position plays a critical role in coordinating care, supporting families, and linking clients to community resources while working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment:

  • Coordinate assessments and treatment planning; participate in the development of an Individualized Service Plan (ISP) with active participation from the client, family, and other service providers

  • Maintain professional collateral contacts with community partners such as schools, Job and Family Services (JFS), Juvenile Court, and other providers, with appropriate authorizations

  • Provide training, education, and parental guidance to support and advocate for families in accessing community resources to:

    • Achieve treatment goals

    • Maximize independence

    • Increase social support networks (relatives, friends, community organizations)

    • Reduce life stressors

  • Provide assistance and support to clients and families during crisis situations

  • Facilitate home-based services as a significant component of service delivery within the client’s natural environment

  • Provide face-to-face services with families through individual, family, and/or group modalities

  • Support families in strengthening parenting skills, including behavioral interventions, understanding child development, special needs, and effective communication

  • Apply specialized knowledge of child and adolescent growth and development to determine and implement appropriate interventions

  • Provide consultation to community members related to crisis response and suicide prevention

Documentation & Caseload Management:

  • Maintain up-to-date treatment plans, diagnostic updates, and progress notes

  • Complete progress notes using concurrent documentation for all client and family contacts

  • Manage an assigned caseload in accordance with agency standards

  • Maintain required client service hours

  • Attend scheduled supervision, team meetings, and staffing meetings

  • Adhere to all CRC policies, procedures, and documentation standards

  • Maintain required licensure throughout employment

  • Establish professional development goals and participate in trainings, conferences, and workshops to remain current on best practices

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families preferred

  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
