CRC Announces Youth Crisis Center Grand Opening Event Date
CRC is excited to share the long-awaited grand opening event date for its youth crisis center, officially named the R. Anthony Marcson Center in honor of CRC's founder. The event will take place on Monday, August 10th at 1pm at 1045 Klotz Rd., Bowling Green, OH 43402. It will begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony performed with the BG Chamber of Commerce, along with remarks from partners on this project! Open house and refreshments to follow.
In partnership with the Wood County Alcohol Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board (WCADAMHS), this is a pivotal project in the enhancement of Northwest Ohio’s crisis continuum for youth. The center will provide crisis stabilization care to youth in Wood County and surrounding areas. It will include 16 rooms, 10 traditional CRU beds and 6 intensive care beds for youth who require longer-term stabilization (up to 3 months). The crisis center will include common areas, therapy rooms for both group and individual treatment, a full kitchen and dining, and family spaces for visitation. It has been made possible through the American Rescue Plan act with a $7.6 million grant awarded by the Ohio Department of Behavioral Health.
The opening of the crisis center is particularly significant as this year, CRC also marks its 50th anniversary and 50 years of dedicated services to the youth of Wood County and surrounding families. They proudly recognize the impact they’ve made and continue to make in our community thanks to their partners, staff, and the families they support!
The Children’s Resource Center (CRC) invites all community members to attend the ribbon cutting and learn more about more programs being offered. The new R. Anthony Marcson Center will be located behind their current agency building which will allow close collaboration between programs and easy access for past and current clients that may benefit from their services.
